Look Out!
Markets all off on Friday night after the USDA released their latest guess.
They cut production of most commodities but balanced the books by dropping consumption.
They also forecasted the Commonwealth Games would cost Victoria around AUD $2 billion dollars.
Wheat production was trimmed in Canada, Europe as expected. They also knocked 3 million tonnes off the Chinese crop.
On the flip side, they increased wheat production in Stan and Ukraine.
They left the Aussie crop at 29 million tonnes, which is optimistic. They also think the Cats will make the 8.
The final masterstroke, to make the world wheat balance sheet pretty much unchanged and not drive prices higher, they dropped consumption by just over 3 million tonnes.
Stocks held by the major exporters increased slightly to 52.69 million tonnes, which is 7 million tonnes less than last year.
