What price do you want for your grain?
Overnight moves in international markets and yesterday's actual traded prices across Australia are below to help you determine your price. If you need to change your offer price, simply edit it before market open.
Look Out!
The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain?
Unfortunately, My Fair Lady, you were wrong this year because Spain is dry and importing Russian wheat.
It’s also dry in the major corn and soybean producing regions in the USA, which is driving wheat and oilseed prices higher.
The forecast for the next 7 days is not great for the main producing states, which will add more support to the market.
Over the week, Chicago wheat was up USD $21 per tonne, Kansas up USD $16, corn up USD $15 and beans up USD $29 per tonne.
For the canola boys, Matif rapeseed was up EU $29 per tonne and Winnipeg up CAD $15.
Did I mention its hot and dry in Canada which might knock canola yields down a bit?
I was fortunate to have lunch with a few old industry legends last week, and one showed me where my Market Commentary emails went; straight into his Junk folder?
I said that was probably because he was a non-subscriber, and the cheap $12 per month subscription one would never go into a junk folder.
We then ordered a round of beers that cost way more than $12.
