Grain Report Thursday - 08th June
What price do you want for your grain?
Overnight moves in international markets and yesterday's actual traded prices across Australia are below to help you determine your price. If you need to change your offer price, simply edit it before market open.
Look Out!
Hard red winter, or Kansas futures had its bottom smacked for being a millennial and demanding higher values.
That Chicago – Kansas spread was 278 cents in the middle of May.
Talk about arrogance. That was like saying APW was AUD $155 better than ASW.
The spread has now narrowed to 170 cents / bushel.
I am not a spread trader; however, I do like butter over margarine; but the Kansas – Chicago spread was way too wide., and hence the Yanks imported the Frogs wheat.
The best thing for high prices is high prices.
I was looking at some shipping numbers yesterday as one does when the paint has dried, and the grass has stopped growing.
These numbers were fascinating and say a lot about what could happen by the end of the year and our potential carry out, but unfortunately, I cannot share this information for free.
However, if you wish to meet me down a dark alleyway in the back streets of Culgoa, and you slip me a Tenner plus $2 coin and some GST (fully tax deductible), I will slip you a piece of paper with the Aussie S&D.
