Grain Report Thursday - 7th December
What price do you want for your grain?
Overnight moves in international markets and yesterday's actual traded prices across Australia are below to help you determine your price. If you need to change your offer price, simply edit it before market open.
Look Out!
Markets were off a tad last night, but guess what, the Chinese Xi Cricket team is continuing his Christmas wheat shopping, buying another 372,000 tonnes of Soft red Wheat for his children.
That’s 1 million tonnes for the week and 2 million tonnes for the 23/24 marketing year.
I repeat, do not look at the rubber numbers when it comes to China, just follow what they do.
The market commentary is they need milling quality wheat due to the damage caused by excessive rains which downgraded their crop.
At the same time, the market keeps saying the Chinese pig market has tanked and demand for pork is dead.
I don’t know, and neither does anyone else apart from the Chinese Xi Cricket Team.
If he is buying crappy US wheat for his kids and mother-in-law, then he also must be at David Jones in Perth and Adelaide looking for high quality gifts for his wife.
The Egyptians bought a few cargoes or 180,000 of Russian and Ukrainian wheat yesterday and guess what; they are back in again today for some more.
The Yanks release their world supply and demand, pull a rabbit out of your hat numbers tomorrow.
I wonder if Biden his time tells his desk jockeys to keep that Brazilian corn crop at 129 million tonnes, as we don’t need inflation and higher popcorn prices adding to the cost of living and hurting his election campaign.
Who knows what numbers they will pull out.
