Dominic Hogan Outlook commodities comments

Look Out!

  • Wheat off again last night.

  • Talk about an unloved commodity, a bit like the Indian cricket team; hero to zero in one night.

  • Corn was up slightly, and beans were smacked over the fence by Travis Head.

  • Dead silence after that reference; come on Get It India.

  • Some concerns once again about Brazilian weather and dryness driving bean prices and bean acres being swapped into cotton.

  • There was an 8% swing in the Mato Grosso region, but it’s a safe bean seat.

  • Chinese imports through to October of wheat and barley up significantly from last year.
