Grain Report Tuesday - 22nd August
What price do you want for your grain?
Overnight moves in international markets and yesterday's actual traded prices across Australia are below to help you determine your price. If you need to change your offer price, simply edit it before market open.
Look Out!
Wheat and corn off last night. Beans up slightly.
Canola was a mixed bag, with Winnipeg up and MATIF off.
The Egyptians have come back in for some more wheat with a tender today.
My money is on Russia taking most of this business as they need to move stock.
Still lots of talk about Get It India and Russia doing an “under the market” deal. Indian wheat stocks are 20% below the 10-year average for this time of year.
A 9 million tonne deal with Russia would bring their stocks back into the 10-year average.
Problem is, their population might be a bit higher now than what it was 10 years ago, so stocks need to be higher than 10-year average.
US Crop conditions out last night, with Corn off 1%, beans unchanged and Spring wheat down 4%.
