Look Out!

  • The Boxing Day Sales saw a buying frenzy in the US, with wheat up AUD $11 per tonne last night.

  • A little bit of tension has returned to the Black Sea region, with Ukraine blowing up a Russian vessel.

  • Also, it appears the market did some last-minute Christmas shopping at the ASX Shopping Centre last Friday, with Jan 2024 settling up AUD $11 per tonne.

  • Unfortunately, the Aussie Dollar continues to firm, or the US is weakening.

  • It's up almost 5 cents since my birthday on All Saint day, the 1st of November.

  • A USD $290 FOB (Free on Board) price on All Saints Day would be AUD $460.

  • Today that conversion would be AUD $426 or a lower domestic wheat price return of AUD $34 per tonne, purely on currency firming.

  • As mentioned previously we need the Argie president, Milei Cyrus to come and buy me some flowers, say things I don’t understand, take me dancing and hold my hand.
