Growers who offer first, sell their grain first
FIRST IN - FIRST OUT
How offers are ordered on the exchange
When a grower offers grain for sale on Clear Grain Exchange it is time stamped at the time it goes live on the exchange.
If a buyer places a firm bid matching multiple offers of grain for sale at the same price, offers will trade in order they were first created.
Importantly, growers or their agents can edit offers at any time while maintaining their position in the queue.
The little man symbol lets you know where your offer sits in the market.
Benefit from offering grain for sale early!
If a grower edits the price of their offer, the original timestamp remains meaning it will sell ahead of offers created after it went live.
This feature provides growers and their agents flexibility in managing their offers without losing priority.
If growers are not sellers at current bids or traded prices, they can still offer grain for sale at their higher price to benefit from this timestamp.
Growers can simply edit their offer price at anytime knowing it will sell ahead of other offers at the same price created after them.
Selling quickly or not in a hurry..... still offer!
Whether growers are selling grain now that's in demand or holding grain for selling in the future, they should be offering the grain for sale.
For grain in demand, offering grain for sale helps growers establish its true price by enabling all buyers to outbid each other to get it.
For grain that growers plan to sell in the future, offering grain for sale at a higher price helps show all buyers grower’s sell prices and keeps buyers interested.
If your grain is not on offer, it can't sell at the price you want and often it will sell at prices you didn't think were available at the time!
