Growers holding prices

International markets have been grinding lower as northern hemisphere weather conditions improve and coincide with reports of expected large spring crop plantings. This is weighing on Australian grain markets however at this point in time hasn't seen major reductions in traded prices across most grades and locations. ASW1 wheat and feed barley continue to be the dominant grades trading by volume across the country. APW1 wheat was also trading across all states. Interest in noodle wheat increased in the west. Higher protein grades continue to attract premiums while interest in lower grades remains typically at relatively tight spreads to ASW1. The pulse market continued to be active last week with lupins, faba beans and lentils all trading at prices growers were offering. Oats and canola was also trading providing price discovery for the market.
