Grain markets trading in the west

Unrelenting rain in eastern Australia and disruptive rains in the west continue to cause uncertainty across Australian grain markets. The result was most of the trade volume on Clear Grain Exchange (CGX) last week was in the west with both new crop and old crop trading. There was lower volumes trading in the eastern states as the harvest keeps getting delayed in many areas and uncertainty over crop availability is seeing growers and buyers having to sit on their hands in many cases. Notably buyers are actively looking at what grain is being offered on the exchange which shows the appetite to buy grain if they can see it. For growers in WA that are trying to sell into the CBH bids each day and missing out given on most days the bids are filled within minutes, you can also offer grain for sale at those prices on CGX so all buyers can see it and try to buy it. Once you've determined what price you're willing to sell for - get it up on offer on CGX! CGX provides an efficient and secure way of getting your sale price out to all buyers so they can see it and have the opportunity to buy it.
