It's time to offer your grain
Buyers want Australian grain this harvest. Australian grain remains competitive into international markets out of the southern export states, and north eastern Australia is trading a freight spread into destinations where dry conditions have impacted crop production.
Demand is there, however with harvest underway, buyers are monitoring progress and what growers are doing in regards to their selling.
If growers sell a lot of grain into published cash bids quickly, it will push prices lower. This often happens during harvest.
But growers can also OFFER their grain for sale at a price to ALL BUYERS. By doing this growers may help to avoid the typical harvest pressure on prices.
21 different buyer businesses purchased grain through Clear Grain Exchange last week with more looking for grain offered for sale.
