Buyers continue wanting Australian grain - Demand for Australian grain is keeping prices supported led by barley and extending to all grades.
35 buyers purchased 36 grades in NSW, VIC, SA and WA - Barley made up 57% of all grain traded, wheat 40%, canola, oats, lupins and lentils the rest.
If you have grain in warehouse or stored on-farm, offer it for sale at your price - CGX and igrain enables growers to set the price for their grain.

Buyers continue to look for grain
Barley grades made up 57% of all grain traded through Clear Grain Exchange (CGX) last week as exporters and domestic end users continued to get cover.
Demand for feed was driving buyer interest with little price discrepancy between feed 1 barley grades and malt grades that traded, albeit that malt volume was low in comparison.
There is some differentiation in feed barley prices depending on locations, both between port zones and at upcountry sites within port zones, as buyers crunch their numbers on where they need it versus where it's located.
$340/t track port out of the southern export states seems to be the benchmark for feed barley, prices out of the west are $350-$355/t FIS port.
The heightened barley demand continues to have a flow on effect to wheat as offshore buyers want to secure the volume and quantity they need from Australia through the back end of the year.
16 wheat grades traded last week making up 40% of all grain that traded through CGX. Demand remains robust with 28 different buyers purchasing wheat grades over the week and growers achieving their price targets.
Canola and lupins were also trading through SA and WA, oats continued to attract buyer interest in the west trading $400/t, while lentils were trading in volume in VIC through Clear Grain Exchange.
